Trekker international travel plan covers U.S. citizens or residents under the age of 85 who take multiple international trips during the year, up to a maximum of 70 days per trip. The Trekker international travel plan covers multiple trips to one or more destinations, rather than a single trip. In most cases, once you leave the U.S., your existing medical policy provides limited, if any, coverage. This leaves your health and financial security at serious risk because of significant gaps in most available insurance coverage and services. This risk is only heightened by limited knowledge of health and safety hazards around the world, including medical treatment from unfamiliar providers.

Trekker combines comprehensive benefits with a new generation of medical assistance services, including an impressive array of online and mobile tools used to identify and access quality healthcare all around the world. No need to notify or apply for coverage each time you travel. Simply take your ID card with you and rest easy knowing your Trekker policy will cover you, regardless of how often you leave the country.

Trekker offers you the freedom to choose where you receive healthcare abroad. Or, gives you the option to utilize GeoBlue's network, which cover almost every specialty in 180 countries. The providers are certified by the American or Royal College of Medicine and bill GeoBlue directly, so you don't have to file a claim and wait for a reimbursement.

Trekker is offered in cooperation with certain local Blue Cross Blue Shield companies, which collectively cover one in three Americans. Benefits are underwritten by 4 Ever Life International Limited, an independent licensee of Blue Cross Blue Shield, which is rated A- (Excellent) by A.M. Best.
