Xplorer Premier international health plan is designed to support the international lifestyle of those who travel to or from the United States for extended periods of time whether for business, leisure, or study. If you leave your home for six months or more, your health and financial security are at serious risk due to significant gaps in most available insurance coverage and services. This risk is heightened by limited knowledge of health and safety hazards around the world, including medical treatment from unfamiliar providers.

Xplorer Premier is the ultimate international health plan that combines comprehensive benefits with a new generation of medical assistance services, including an array of online and mobile tools which are used to identify, access, and pay for quality healthcare around the world.

Xplorer Premier offers you the freedom to choose where you receive healthcare outside the United States. You will also have access to an exclusive provider network that cover almost every specialty in 180 countries. The providers are certified by the American or Royal College of Medicine. Inside the United States, Xplorer Premier members have access to the full Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Card Network in all 50 States. This network includes more than 80 percent of physicians and 90 percent of hospitals. These providers will bill the insurance company directly, eliminating the need to file a claim and wait for a reimbursement.

Xplorer Premier is offered in cooperation with certain local Blue Cross Blue Shield companies which collectively cover one in three Americans. Benefits are underwritten by 4 Ever Life International Limited, an independent licensee of Blue Cross Blue Shield, which is rated A- (Excellent) by A.M. Best.
