Travel Insurance

Traveling brings about many new opportunities and experiences. You’ve likely been planning your trip for quite some time, so you should be thinking about how you can protect yourself and your investment around your trip.

Travel insurance offers coverage for unexpected and/or non-refundable expenses around your trip. Some of these benefits may include:

  • Trip Cancellation:

If you were to need to cancel your trip for any of the covered reasons, insurance would reimburse you for the pre-paid, non-refundable portion of your trip.

  • Emergency Medical Costs:

Many people experience some sort of travelers sickness while abroad. If you were to get sick, or injured during your trip, insurance could cover those medical expenses. Many domestic insurance plans do not cover foreign services, so travel insurance is key in saving yourself those extra costs.

  • Trip Interruption:

Many things could happen that require you to cut your trip short, such as the death of a close relative, or a house fire. Travel insurance may cover the costs to get home, and/or the funds lost to pre-paid non-refundable services.

  • Baggage Coverage:

When traveling, your luggage is a huge part of your experience. We rely heavily on the timely and safe arrival of our belongings. However, if things were to be delayed or lost, travel insurance could cover the cost of replacing these items so you can continue your trip as planned.

Travel insurance covers trips less than 365 days in total.

If you will be traveling for longer than 365 days, or moving abroad permanently, you will need to consider health/medical plans designed for longer stays abroad.
