We Meet and Exceed Standards for U.S. Exchange Visitors.

Important Coverage for Visa Holders.

If your journey brings you to America for studies, cultural
exchanges, or work training, you’ll likely enter the country under
a J-1 Visa. The U.S. State Department mandates that all
participants in the J-1 program have insurance coverage that
meets the defined minimum benefit standards listed below. All
our plans meet or exceed these standards and provide excellent
coverage at affordable rates. Some plans can be renewed or
extended longer.

We Understand the Requirements for J-1
Visa Holders.

We’ll help you choose the right plan for your needs.

According to the U.S. Department of State, all exchange visitors (as well as accompanying dependents) must have insurance that covers them for sickness or accidents for the duration of their participation in the program. [22 CFR 62.14] Insurance providers must also meet certain requirements for validity and reliability in order to answer the requirements.

Coverage must include:
  • Medical benefits of at least $100,000 per accident or illness.
  • Repatriation of remains in the amount of $25,000.
  • Expenses associated with the medical evacuation of the exchange visitor to his or her home country in the amount of $50,000.
  • A deductible not to exceed $500 per accident or illness.
